CRM Attribution

Attribute demo engagement to pipeline and track revenue influence through CRM integration.

CRM attribution connects demo engagement data to your sales pipeline so you can measure how demos influence deals.

How attribution works

When a viewer engages with a demo, Demoship matches their identity to a CRM contact or lead. The matching process uses:

  1. Email match -- Viewer email matches a CRM contact email
  2. Domain match -- Viewer's company domain matches a CRM account domain
  3. Manual association -- Sales reps can manually link a demo view to a CRM opportunity

Once matched, demo engagement data flows to the CRM record as activities and custom fields.

Revenue influence tracking

Demoship tracks which demos a prospect viewed before key pipeline events:

  • Opportunity creation -- Which demos were viewed before the deal was created
  • Stage progression -- Demo views that occurred before stage changes
  • Closed-won -- Demos that influenced closed deals

The Attribution dashboard shows:

  • Total influenced pipeline value
  • Number of influenced opportunities
  • Average demo views per closed-won deal
  • Breakdown by demo and demo type

CRM field mapping

Demoship writes engagement data to your CRM records. Default fields include:

  • Last demo viewed -- Title and date of the most recent demo
  • Demo engagement score -- A composite score based on views, completion, and time spent
  • Total demos viewed -- Count of unique demos viewed
  • Demo completion rate -- Average completion across all demos viewed

You can customize field mapping in Settings > Integrations > CRM > Field Mapping. Map Demoship data to any standard or custom field in your CRM.

Setting up attribution

  1. Connect your CRM (see CRM integrations).
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations > CRM > Attribution.
  3. Configure the attribution window (default: 90 days).
  4. Choose which pipeline events to track.
  5. Enable or disable automatic field updates.

Note: CRM attribution requires an active CRM integration and is available on Pro plans and above. Revenue influence reporting requires Ultra or Full.
