Offline Demos

Download demos for offline presentations and sync engagement data when back online.

Take your demos offline for trade shows, on-site meetings, or environments without reliable internet.

Downloading a demo

  1. Open the demo and go to Share > Offline.
  2. Click Download for Offline.
  3. Choose the format:
    • HTML bundle -- A self-contained folder you can open in any browser
    • Desktop app -- A standalone executable for Mac or Windows
  4. The download includes all screenshots, annotations, hotspots, and voiceover audio.

Offline presentation mode

The offline version includes full presentation controls:

  • Step-by-step navigation with keyboard shortcuts
  • Fullscreen mode
  • Voiceover playback (if generated)
  • Hotspot interactivity

The offline demo behaves identically to the online version except for features that require a server connection (viewer identification, real-time analytics).

What works offline

  • All demo types (Interactive, HTML capture)
  • Annotations and tooltips
  • Voiceover audio
  • Branching flows
  • Embedded media (images, GIFs)

What requires connectivity

  • Viewer identification and tracking
  • Real-time analytics
  • Live Demo and Sandbox types
  • AI features (Copilot, voiceover generation)

Syncing when back online

The desktop app version tracks local engagement data (steps viewed, time per step, completion) while offline. When the device reconnects:

  1. Open the desktop app.
  2. Click Sync in the toolbar.
  3. Offline engagement data uploads to your Demoship analytics dashboard.

HTML bundle downloads do not support offline sync.

Note: Offline downloads are available on Pro plans and above. Demos must be published before they can be downloaded.
