Roles & Permissions
Manage team access with Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles plus custom permissions for Enterprise.
Demoship uses role-based access control to manage what each team member can do in your workspace.
Role types

Admin role
Admins have full access to the workspace, including billing, integrations, team management, and audit logs. The workspace creator is automatically an Admin. At least one Admin must exist at all times.
Editor role
Editors can create, edit, and share demos. They can view analytics for their own demos and any demos shared with them. They cannot delete demos, manage integrations, or invite new members.
Viewer role
Viewers have read-only access. They can view published demos and analytics but cannot create, edit, or share demos. This role is useful for stakeholders who need visibility without edit access.
Custom roles (Enterprise)
On Enterprise plans, create custom roles with granular permissions:
- Go to Settings > Team > Roles.
- Click Create Role.
- Name the role and select individual permissions.
- Assign the role to team members.
Custom roles can combine any permissions from the matrix above, plus additional controls like restricting access to specific demo folders.
Inviting members
- Go to Settings > Team > Members.
- Click Invite.
- Enter the email address and select a role.
- The invitee receives an email with a link to join your workspace.
Pending invitations expire after 7 days. You can resend or revoke them from the Members page.
Managing access
To change a member's role or remove them:
- Go to Settings > Team > Members.
- Click the member's name.
- Change their role or click Remove to revoke access.
Removed members immediately lose access to all workspace demos and data.
Note: All plans include unlimited Viewer seats. Editor and Admin seats are limited by your plan tier.
