Availability

Configure 24/7 always-on demos, timezone handling, and scheduled availability windows.

Live Demos run without human intervention. Prospects access them at any time, from any timezone. This page covers availability settings and scheduling options.

Always-on mode

By default, Live Demos are always available. Once published, they accept viewers 24/7 without any scheduling or capacity limits.

To enable always-on mode:

  1. Go to Live Demo > Settings > Availability.
  2. Select Always On.
  3. The demo is accessible at any time via its share link or embed.

This is the recommended setting for most use cases -- website embeds, email campaigns, and Demo Center listings.

Scheduled availability

For situations where you want to control when demos are accessible:

  1. Go to Live Demo > Settings > Availability.
  2. Select Scheduled.
  3. Define availability windows (e.g., Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm).
  4. Set the timezone for the schedule.
  5. Configure a message for off-hours visitors (e.g., "This demo is available during business hours. Leave your email and we'll send you a link.").

Use cases for scheduling

  • Event-tied demos available only during a conference or webinar.
  • Limited-time campaigns with a defined start and end date.
  • Capacity management when sandbox-backed Live Demos have resource constraints.

Timezone handling

  • Viewer timezone -- Analytics report engagement in the viewer's local timezone.
  • Schedule timezone -- Availability windows use your configured timezone by default.
  • Auto-detect -- Optionally adjust the schedule display to show the viewer their local availability window.

Capacity settings

For Live Demos backed by Sandbox environments (which consume compute resources):

  • Concurrent viewers -- Set a maximum number of simultaneous viewers.
  • Queue behavior -- When capacity is reached, new viewers see a wait message with an estimated time.
  • Auto-scaling -- Enable automatic scaling to handle traffic spikes (requires container-based sandbox setup).

Fallback behavior

Configure what happens when a Live Demo is temporarily unavailable:

  • Static fallback -- Show a pre-recorded version of the demo (an Interactive Demo or video).
  • Lead capture -- Show a form so prospects can request a personalized demo later.
  • Redirect -- Send viewers to an alternative URL.

Note: Uptime is tracked under Live Demo > Analytics > Availability. Demoship monitors availability and alerts you if a Live Demo goes offline unexpectedly.
