Automatic translation, supported languages, and cultural adaptation for global audiences.
Live Demos automatically detect the viewer's language preference and translate all text content. No manual translation files or duplicate demos needed.
How language detection works
The AI determines the viewer's language from (in priority order):
- Explicit parameter --
?lang=dein the demo URL. - Browser language -- The
Accept-Languageheader sent by the viewer's browser. - Geographic location -- IP-based location as a fallback.
- Default language -- Your workspace default (configured in settings).
Supported languages
Live Demo supports translation to 30+ languages, including:
- English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch
- Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
- Arabic, Hebrew (with RTL layout support)
- Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian
- Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish
- Polish, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Turkish
What gets translated
- Hotspot and callout text.
- Modal and tooltip content.
- Guide instructions and completion messages.
- Demo Center collection names and descriptions (when accessed via Demo Center).
What doesn't get translated
- Text baked into screenshots (use the AI editor to create localized versions).
- Your product's actual UI within HTML Demos or Sandboxes.
- Brand elements (logo, company name).
Cultural adaptation
Translation goes beyond word-for-word conversion:
- Date formats adjust to local conventions (MM/DD/YYYY vs. DD.MM.YYYY).
- Number formats match local standards (1,000.00 vs. 1.000,00).
- Currency displays in the viewer's local currency where applicable.
- Reading direction switches to RTL for Arabic and Hebrew, including layout adjustments.
Manual translation overrides
If automatic translation doesn't capture the right nuance:
- Go to Live Demo > Translations.
- Select the target language.
- Review AI-generated translations for each text element.
- Edit any translations that need adjustment.
- Save. Manual overrides take precedence over AI translation.
Note: Translation quality is highest for marketing and product terminology. For highly technical or domain-specific content, review the AI translations and add manual overrides where needed.
